Time is just like a negative number. It doesn’t exist, in truth, but it’s a tremendously useful thing in practice. Just don’t forget — just like you cannot have negative sheep, you cannot really have the past or the future.

Are we destined to take another trip on this great roller-coaster of history? Perhaps. After we have so grasped the feathers of the spirit and seen the light of the transcendent with our naked eyes, it will be our own brazenness which brings us down, into the hell of war and death and all things wrong with the world.
It is time to transcend, to make one last break for it, lest the tumult of our past catch up with us again.
